Individual therapy sessions are held once a week.
(There is also the option to attend once every two weeks.)
The standard session length is 60 minutes. In practice, this time is usually enough to build new neural pathways, avoid fatigue, and not overload the psyche and body. Some people feel ready for 1.5-hour sessions — that’s also possible. However, for the therapeutic process, I generally recommend 60-minute sessions once a week.
If you're in an acute state, it might be worth increasing the frequency to twice a week, with 60-minute sessions.
The duration of therapy depends on your needs and emotional state. As a psychologist, I always aim to help the client become autonomous. I have no intention of keeping you in therapy for years unless you find it helpful. Of course, I will support your rhythm. Some clients stay in therapy for several years with long therapeutic pauses. After completing a cycle of sessions, a person might return in a few months or a year with a new, focused request. Sometimes they buy a session package, and we work together again. This is quite common.
*The only thing I always ask is that clients inform me one session in advance if they decide to end therapy. This is important for proper grounding, summarizing the work done, and reflecting on the journey.
